I’m Mike Matthews, a veteran full time freelance production sound mixer and location sound recordist.
I’ve worked on features, docs, network news, commercials, TV and corporate shoots for a wide variety of networks, agencies and production companies since I began in the business in 2009. I can supervise other mixers and boom operators or work as a one man band. I have been in many challenging sound situations and have the experience, resourcefulness and creativity to get the job done right.
My passport is up to date and I’m ready to travel anywhere you need good sound for as long as your project takes or I’m happy to work as a local in my home towns of Missoula, MT and Tucson, AZ. I have worked in extreme conditions, from the intense desert heat of Arizona to the brutally cold winter days we get here in Montana.
I have excellent professional equipment that I am always adding to. I am a positive team player always willing to go the extra mile to get it done right. I also have an MFA in digital film making and can be useful in any aspect of production.
